Lahore the second largest city after Karachi, has population nearly as much as New York. Lahore is famous from its food streets and Pakistan’s first Metro Bus System. But for Pakistanis, in fact for people of subcontinent all over the world, Lahore has a historical perspective. There are many ancient buildings which were built by Mughal Emperors.
Like Shahi Qila, Badshahi Mosque, commonly known as Badshahi Masjid. Visiting these places is always a wonderful experience.Punjab Government is working to boost the beauty of Lahore by taking all possible measures. But there is a monument which was not built by Mughals but shows the state of Art and class of that time. That is Minar Pakistan. which was built in 1968.

Supervisor of that project was Naseer uddin Murat khan who was a civil engineer. You will be happy to know that the design of this tower was created by Abdul Rehman khan Niazi who was working for Naseer uddin. Foundation of Minar e Pakistan was laid in 1960 and it was completed in 1968. 705,8000 Pakistni Rupees was spent on the construction was collected by imposing extra taxes on cinema and horse racing tickets.
