Australia beat Pakistan by 14 runs in the warm-up match of the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup.
In the match played in Hyderabad Deccan, Australia gave a target of 352 runs to win, but Pakistan scored 337.
Captain Babar Azam played excellent and aggressive innings of 90 runs, in which he hit two sixes and 11 fours, and withdrew from his innings.
Iftikhar Ahmed scored 83 runs with four sixes, Mohammad Nawaz scored 50, Fakhrman 22, Hassan Ali and Imamul Haq scored 16, 16.
Earlier, Australia won the toss and decided to bat and scored 351 for 7 in the stipulated 50 overs.
Australia’s Glenn Maxwell 77, Cameron Green scored an unbeaten 50, David Warner and Josh Angles scored 48, 48, while Morns Lebshain 40, Mitchell Marsh 31, and Steve Smith 27 runs returned to the pavilion.
Osama Mir of Pakistan, Mohammad Wasim, Harris Rauf, Shadab Khan, and Mohammad Nawaz took 1, 1 wicket.
In today’s warm-up match, vice-captain Shadab Khan is captaining, Babar Azam will likely bat only, and Mohammad Rizwan was restored.
In their first warm-up match, Pakistan lost to New Zealand.
Remember that the first regular match of the World Cup will be played on October 5.
