Islamabad is a planned city. It was officially made the Capital of Pakistan in 1967. According to some people Islamabad is the second most beautiful planned capital of the world. These alpha-numeric sectors are further divided into four sectors each, for example G-10/1, G-10/2, G-10/3 and G-10/4. Sector A, B and C are not yet developed. D sector is further divided into 7 sub-sectors consisting of D-11 to D-17. In D series only D-12 is developed. E sector is further divided into 11 sub-sectors consisting of E-7 to E-17. Many foreigners and diplomatic personnel are living in these sectors. There are few defense universities and bases of defense institution are also in E sector. F sector is further divided into 13 sub-sectors consisting of F-5 to E-17. similarly G sector is further divided into 13 sub-sectors consisting of G-5 to G-17. F and G sectors are most populated and developed sectors of Islamabad. These two series contains many important places of the city. H sector is further divided into 10 sub-sectors consisting of H-8 to H-17. Many educational and health institution are situated in H sector. I sector is further divided into 11 sub-sectors consisting of I-8 to I-18. Many industrial areas are situated in I sector.
